Description:
The Math Competition Club prepares students for a four-stage contest series: school, chapter, state, and national. The problems increase in difficulty at each level—perfect scores are common in school rounds, while national winners rarely achieve perfection. Each school may register up to ten students, including a designated four-member team.
Grade Levels: 6th–8th

Description:
The AMC 8 Math Club helps students prepare for the AMC 8 competition, a 25-question, 40-minute contest for students in 8th grade and below. This contest covers middle school math topics and emphasizes creative problem-solving skills. It is a standalone competition that introduces students to new mathematical strategies and approaches.

Description:
Science Olympiad is a national team competition where students compete in 23 events across a variety of scientific disciplines, including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Each year, over 7,800 middle and high school teams from 50 U.S. states participate. This club provides hands-on opportunities to explore STEM concepts, collaborate with teammates, and compete at local and national tournaments.

Description:
HOSA is a national student organization for those interested in careers in healthcare. Members explore the world of health professions through 58 competitive events ranging from skill-based to leadership and team-based challenges. Events are grouped into four categories: Health Science, Health Professions, Leadership, and Recognition. Students compete at the regional, state, and international levels, with top three state winners advancing to the international stage.

Description:
The PSAT helps students strengthen their math, reading, and writing skills while preparing for the SAT. High-scoring students may earn national recognition, including the prestigious National Merit Scholarship.
The Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0 (TSIA2) is a placement test used by Texas colleges and universities to determine readiness for college-level courses in reading, writing, and math. This club will help students prepare for both assessments and build confidence in their academic skills.

After-School Clubs List
Dear HST Families,
Welcome back! We are excited to begin another great school year. Below you will find all the details for our after-school clubs.
Academic & Athletics Clubs

Academic and athletics clubs will not be available on REVTRAK until after tryouts and student selection are complete.

Once the selection process is finished, the clubs will be added to REVTRAK for payment.

Only selected students may register and pay for these clubs.

Please check our social media and Schoology for tryout dates, announcements, and flyers.
Club Selection

Students may choose up to three (3) after-school clubs or organizations from the REVTRAK.

Clubs will not be offered if fewer than 10 students register.

Clubs will begin on Monday, August 18, 2025.
Registration & Payment

Registration and payment period: Monday, August 11 – Friday, August 29, 2025 (by 4:00 PM).

No late registrations or payments will be accepted.

No refunds will be given unless the club is canceled due to low enrollment (fewer than 10 members).

Most clubs: $50.00 per semester, per club.

Some clubs may require additional fees for materials or special activities.

Each student may use a fee waiver for one club only.

Required documentation must be attached to the Fee Waiver Application Form to be eligible.

Discipline

All rules and regulations from the Harmony School of Technology Student Handbook apply to after-school programs.

Students must remain in their assigned areas during club time.

No loitering in hallways or gathering in the cafeteria during club hours.
Dismissal & Late Pick-Up Policy

Dismissal time for clubs: 5:00 PM.

Students must be picked up promptly. Please make arrangements to ensure your child is off campus by closing time.

If you anticipate being late, please call a friend or relative to pick up your child and notify the club sponsor.
Late Pick-Up Consequences:

First Time: Teacher reminds family verbally and documents the incident.

Second Time: Same as above.
-
Third Time: Student will be removed from the club with no refund.
Enrollment is limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
