During Arrival and Dismissal

• No dropping students off or picking student up at the feeder. It is unsafe for students and parents.
• No dropping students off at the corner of building “A”. It holds up traffic flow.
• There are only two drop-off locations: 1) between Enrichment and Technology schools and 2) in front of Building B.
• Students need to be picked up by 3:50 pm. After 3:50 pm, you will need to come in inside Bldg. B and sign your student(s) out.
• PARENTS should NOT be on CELLPHONES during drop off and pick up. Parents should be diligent and alert when children must walk between cards.

If you are picking up your student(s) after 3:50 pm, you need to consider carpooling or an after-school program. You may pick up a list of daycares, after-school programs, and transportation options from the front office in Bldg. A. The Harmony Education Foundation After-school Program will offer supervision, a snack, and an activity to students in their care until 6:00 pm. Go to for more information.
Disciplinary consequences for remaining on campus unsupervised after designated dismissal times within a school year are as follows:

Additionally, students who are picked up after their designated dismissal time may be placed in the After-school Program. Parents of these students will be responsible for all fees incurred as a result of such placement.

Wishing our Harmony School of Technology  families a safe and happy Labor Day weekend!

Parents and students
Hello parents and students. Welcome to the 2019/2020 Harmony School of Technology Basketball tryouts. This year I, coach Kimble, will be the girls basketball coach and Mr. Lowe will be the boys Premier team coach. We will both coach the boys secondary team (if we choose to have one) as well as assist with each other’s team. As of now we plan to have two boys teams to give more students an opportunity to play organized basketball. We understand this can be a stressful time for you both. Not everyone will be selected for a team but we will give everyone who tries out a fair and equal opportunity to show their skills. We will also give feedback and encourage students to try again next year.

Health-parent/student forms
All parents must sign a liability form for a student to tryout. It is highly encouraged to complete a physical before tryouts. Students who are selected for a team will not be able to practice until a physical is completed! If you have any questions please contact Coach Kimble or Mr. Lowe.

September 3rd Girls Tryout 3:30-4:45
September 5th Boys tryout 3:30-5:00

Change of clothes is recommended but not mandatory
(please be on time to pick up your student)

“We are very happy to continue to reward our staff for their dedication to excellence,” said Fatih Ay, CEO of Harmony Public Schools. “Every year our 34,000 plus students consistently exceed state education standards. Our teacher’s hard work is recognized annually by major publications, such as US News Best High Schools, and noted children’s advocacy groups.”

In addition to a base salary increase of between $3,500 & $5,000, teachers will be awarded a stipend of $1,000 if they have between 5 and 9 years of classroom experience. Those with more than 10 years’ experience will receive $2,000. “We see this as an investment not only in our teachers but in our students as well,” Ay said.

The new salary schedule follows Governor Greg Abbott’s signing of the $11.5 Billion school finance reform package. Harmony chose to target additional funding into pay & benefits for teachers and staff. These increases have been presented to the HPS Board of Directors, and will be up for approval after receiving regulations from TEA.
