Dear Parents and Guardians of 8th Grade Students:

Our school will administer the PSAT8/9 on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, for 8th-grade students. The PSAT 8/9 is the first test in the SAT Suite of Assessments. It tests the same skills and knowledge as the SAT. PSAT8/9 helps students determine what they need to work on most so that they are ready for college. Aligned with SAT, it established a baseline for college and career readiness. The PSAT8/9 score reports will provide students early feedback on the skills and knowledge that matter most college and career readiness. You will learn detailed information on your child’s strengths and areas for growth.

PSAT8/9 scores will be useful for high school course selection and can lead savings from college cost. Practice exams and Sample questions are available online at the College Board website and Khan Academy:

Students also can share their PSAT scores with Khan Academy to create a personalized practice experience.

On the day of the test, Harmony School of Technology will be closed to visitors. Please encourage your child to have a restful night before the test day and a healthy breakfast on testing day. Please make sure your child arrives at school on time no later than 7:40 am.

If you have any questions regarding PSAT8/9, please contact Dr. Suslu @

Thank you for your ongoing support
